Marcus® Hotels & Resorts’ three Milwaukee properties, healing The Pfister® Hotel, InterContinental® Milwaukee, and Hilton Milwaukee City Center, today announced it will be serving and selling bottles of an exclusive Single Barrel Jack Daniel’s Whiskey at select food and beverage outlets during the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary celebrations.
In June 2013, Ed Carrella, general manager of Mason Street Grill, here traveled to the Jack Daniel’s Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, on behalf of Milwaukee’s Marcus Hotels, to sample and hand-select a barrel of whiskey to be served during the anniversary. While sampling the single barrel whiskey—a premium class of whiskey in which each bottle comes from an individual aged barrel—he was looking for an overall well-balanced flavor.
“We do not want the whiskey to overpower the guest’s palate,” explained Carrella. “But we also don’t want the whiskey to get lost in a drink. Bold, yet smooth is really what we were looking for—and we found it with the barrel we selected.”
The chosen barrel was bottled and delivered last month and will be served at several Marcus Hotels outlets. Bottles are also available for purchase at any of the three Milwaukee hotels and dining outlets for $110 for the first bottle and $75 for a second bottle. Alternatively, shop at any of the hotels’ outlets, including Mason Street Grill, Lobby Lounge, Blu Bar & Lounge, Kil@wat, CLEAR Bar & Lounge, zenden, Miller Time Pub & Grill, and Monarch Lounge, guests can purchase commemorative bottles of the select Jack Daniel’s Whiskey for $150 to be kept behind the bar, so they can request a drink made with their own private reserve whenever they visit.
Each of the three hotels are planning to host complimentary tastings of the exclusive Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Whiskey. Jack Daniel’s girls will pass samples at Miller Time Pub & Grill on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., CLEAR Bar & Lounge on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Mason Street Grill on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Miller Time Pub & Grill
On Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., Miller Time Pub & Grill will welcome bikers to the city with a complimentary Bikini Bike Wash on 5th Street. Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, Miller Time Pub & Grill will feature a Beer Garden, an extension of the restaurant outdoors onto 5th Street. The Beer Garden will be open Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m., Friday 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
The restaurant will be offering outdoor grill concessions, in addition to serving its regular menu inside. Guests can enjoy drink specials featuring the exclusive whiskey, as well as select $3 tap beer in the Beer Garden. On Saturday, they can pull up a seat in the Beer Garden to watch the parade, while enjoying a Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Miller Time Pub & Grill is located at the corner of 5th and Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee.
Monarch Lounge
Located on the upper lobby of Hilton Milwaukee City Center, Monarch Lounge will showcase a Korbel Brandy branded motorcycle. Thursday through Saturday the lounge will offer Korbel Brandy drink specials for $5. It will also feature specials on beer and Single Barrel Jack Daniel’s Whiskey. Special food items include Harley Hog Sliders, Wide Glide Wings, cheese curds, and more. Open 1:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Mason Street Grill
Throughout the anniversary celebrations, Mason Street Grill, located adjacent to The Pfister Hotel, will be featuring $7 Jack Daniel’s specialty drinks, $10 Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel whiskey mixed drinks, and $12 pours on the rocks of the select Jack Daniel’s Whiskey.
On Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Mason Street Grill will be hosting a four-course, Jack Daniel’s Dinner. CLEAR Bar & Lounge
Located in the lobby of InterContinental Milwaukee, CLEAR Bar & Lounge will feature drink specials throughout the anniversary celebration, including $5 Jack specialty cocktails like the Tennessee Mule or the Honey Poloma. Outdoors on The Patio, guests can enjoy $4 16-ounce “tall boys” of select brews.
