Milwaukee, Wis., July 12, 2013The Pfister® Hotel, which is owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, will be hosting a “Project Runway” Season 12 premiere viewing party in partnership with local stylists and vendors, on Thursday, July 18, 2013, from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. The event, which will take place in the hotel’s Imperial Ballroom, will support former Pfister Artist-in-Residence Timothy Westbrook (2012—2013), who is a contestant this season on the popular cable television show.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. From 7:00 – 7:30 p.m., there will be a fashion show coordinated by Alexis Rose, fashion director, Elyse Cizek, creative director, and Megan Zarnott, assistant director, featuring work from Westbrook, complemented with vintage pieces, as well as handbags from Linda Marcus Design. Multiple television screens will be spread across the ballroom and will show the premiere, which will begin at 8:00 p.m., and will be followed by a continued celebration until 11:00 p.m.

“Timothy was selected as The Pfister’s Artist in Residence last year because we recognized his amazing talent and envisioned big things in his future,” said Cassy Scrima, area marketing manager for Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “It was exciting to see his growth during his time at the hotel and witness his ability to instantly make connections in the Milwaukee art and fashion community. We wish him the best of luck on this exciting opportunity.”

Tickets to the premiere party are $10 at the door, and include appetizers and a beverage ticket. A portion of the proceeds will go to Westbrook’s Milwaukee Artist Resource Network Micro Fellowship. Attendees are encouraged to wear clothing they consider to be “Timothy Westbrook inspired.” Prizes will be awarded for the three best-dressed attendees. Guests can also revisit Westbrook’s “legacy piece,” a permanent fixture in The Pfister’s art collection, which is displayed across from the Artist Studio on the lobby level of the hotel.
