The Pfister Hotel is looking for its fourth artist in residence. Each year, an artist is awarded a working studio and gallery space near the hotel’s lobby and cafe, where patrons can stop in to see an artist at work and to inquire about the art being made.

In return, the artist provides tours of the hotel’s Victorian art collection, one of the largest owned by a hotel in the world.

The current artist in residence in Shelby Keefe. Before her, Katie Musolff and Reginald Baylor were selected.

Applications for the one-year residency, which begins April 1, are due Thursday. Interested artists can downloadan application from the Pfister’s web site.
