THE PFISTER® HOTEL CURATES EXHIBIT FEATURING ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM FINALISTS FOR DISPLAY AT SHARON LYNNE WILSON CENTER
Exhibit highlights works from this year’s six finalists, including selected artist Niki Johnson
The Pfister® Hotel continues its commitment to local artists with the announcement of an exhibit at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, which features work from all six of the hotel’s Artist-in-Residence program finalists, including the program’s selected artist for 2014-2015, Niki Johnson. The additional artists who are highlighted include Richard Dorbin, Brandon Minga, Dena Nord, Jeff Redmon, and Stacey Williams-Ng. The exhibit will be on display in Sharon Lynne Wilson Center’s Lynn Chappy Arts Education Wing until mid-October.
“It’s always an honor when we can help showcase the work of our community’s artists,” said Omar Naimi, director of hotel operations for The Pfister Hotel. “Each year, we are increasingly impressed with the work we are introduced to through the Artist-in-Residence program, and it’s a pleasure to share that work with Milwaukee and beyond.”
Each of the artists in the exhibit previously had pieces displayed through The Pfister’s Artist-in-Residence program after having been selected as a finalist from a greater pool of applicants. Each year, the finalists’ work is displayed at Gallerie M, inside InterContinental Milwaukee, for the public to vote on their favorite.
The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts is located at 19805 W Capitol Drive in Brookfield, Wis.

In its sixth year, The Pfister’s Artist-in-Residence program features a working art studio and gallery that is open to hotel guests and visitors. The program encourages the public to interact with the artist and witness the evolution of each piece first-hand.
